Cornerstone is a non-denominational church. We believe in salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for God's glory alone. Our praise and worship is blended-upbeat-contemporary. Our messages are from Scripture and speak to life in the 21st Century. We desire to spend our lives building the Kingdom by making disciples of all nations!
WHAT TO EXPECT
WHAT TIME DOES SERVICE START?
Sunday at 10:30 in the Auditorium. 10:00 PRAYER is in the main class room.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Cornerstone is at 224 Barber Hill Drive in Waynesville, NC. Click here for directions.
WHERE DO MY KIDS GO DURING THE SERMON?
For newborn to 2 years old: we have a nursery available during Sunday School and throughout the Worship Service. We do not have children's church at this time. When you arrive, be sure to ask a greeter how get your child set up for class at our registration kiosk. They’ll be more than happy to show you where everything is. All of our Child Volunteers must adhere to our strict Child Protection Policy which includes a background check.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL SERVICE LIKE?
You can expect contemporary-blended worship, a biblical, spirit-filled message, an opportunity to give in the offering, and corporate prayer led by our pastor! The first Sunday of every month we join together in communion/the Lord's Supper. We often recite the CFC Confession (a creed) as well. During our service the altar is always open for prayer, as we seek to stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit and His moving in every service.
WHAT IS THE MUSIC LIKE? DO YOU HAVE YOUR OWN BAND?
Cornerstone does have its own worship band and praise team. Our songs range from hymns and gospel to contemporary and modern. Our worship team’s prayer is to lead you into the presence of the Lord each Sunday. Their main desire is to see people freely worship with hearts surrendered fully to our King, who is worthy of all praise!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Whether you’re wearing a dress or a business suit, or you come in a t-shirt and jeans – come as you are! Wear what you’re most comfortable in. Our congregation is made up of every age and demographic, so we don't have a particular "style" of dress.
